John comes to Advance Trading with over 17 years of experience in different levels of the industry.  He was born in Davenport, Iowa but moved around as a son of a John Deere corporate employee.  He spent time as a youth in Davenport, Waterloo, Iowa as well as a couple of years in Chihuahua, Mexico. After high school, he attended the University of Iowa, graduating in 2003 with a degree in Economics.

Following college, John joined the US Navy, serving honorably between 2003 and 2007, including two tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Post military, he began his career trading hogs with a firm on the floor of the CME, before moving to the screen as an ag advisor in the early 2010’s helping producers manage risk with futures and options. In 2021, he worked with a firm focused on trading over the counter derivatives with farms in South America.  He is excited to bring his experience and expertise back to the US producers with Advance Trading Incorporated.
